Georgia Guilty in Killing 2 Russians
Although indirectly, the UN experts have acknowledged that Georgian special task force was guilty of killing two citizens of Russia, Russia’s Envoy to UN Vitali Churkin told journalists, Channel 1 reported.
The matter at stake is the incident of September 20, when two officers of Abkhazia’s Army were shot dead in the clash of Georgian special task force and frontier guards of Abkhazia. Those officers had been the citizens of Russia, it emerged later on.

According to the experts, Churkin said, Abkhazia’s military didn’t fire at all. This conclusion completely deflates Georgia’s story about the attack on its land.

Churkin demanded to finalize the investigation, do it thoroughly and promptly and punish the guilty in the end. Russia’s envoy to the UN also urged to release seven Abkhazians detained by the Georgian party.
