Moscow to Have Snowfall This Weekend
Russia’s Meteorological Service forecasts the snowfall in Moscow on October 13 and 14, RIA Novosti reported with reference to Dmitri Kiktev, deputy director at the Meteorological Service.
”With forming weather conditions, the snowfall is real indeed for the weekend,” Kiktev pointed out, forecasting the temperature to go down to between +6 °C and +10 °C by Saturday and Sunday at daytime and to sink below zero at night.
The northern and northwestern wind will be blowing at 7 m/sec to 12 m/sec. “With the snow slush, which we forecast by the weekend, and given the wind of this kind, the precipitation could well look like the snowfall,” Kiktev said.
Housing and communal services of Moscow are ready to face bad weather this weekend, RIA Novosti reported with reference to a spokesman of such services. “The first snow is most difficult, of course, but we are ready for it,” the official was optimistic.
