U.S. Failed to Outpace Russia in the Davis Cup Race
The team of Russia has maintained its leading standing in the Davis Cup Rating released September 24. Russia’s victory over Germany in the semifinal match drove up the team’s score to 33,920.
The Russians will go to the United States in late November to defend the Davis Cup title to the U.S. team that overwhelmed Sweden in another semifinal and accumulated 22,215.

Previous No. 2, Argentina sank to the third position with its 16,598.75, while the former third leader Croatia is just the fourth now (15,976.25).

The ten leaders also include Spain (11,025), Germany (9,083.75), Sweden (8,881.25), Australia (8,125), Slovakia (7,310) and France (6,625).
