Tax Officers to Work with Famed Russians in Person
Russia’s Federal Tax Service will create the 11th Interregional Tax Inspection that will focus on the biggest individual taxpayers, including businessmen, artists, sportsmen, RIA Novosti reported with reference to a source in the tax bodies.
The Federal Tax Service doesn’t comment on the leak, but the source told RIA Novosti the respective issue is being elaborated. The sources of Interfax, however, claim the idea of creating such body has been long under discussion but it won’t be implemented soon.

According to the sources, the matter at stake is tax probes not only into the wealthiest Russians but rather into the crème-de-la-crème of the society, the habitués of bars and night clubs and those who “are frequent on TV.” But setting up such inspection calls for amending Finance Ministry's regulations on registration of the biggest taxpayers.
