Moscow to Construct Europe’s Highest Tower
ST Towers will probably invest $2 billion or more in construction of Rossia Tower that was launched on Tuesday in the Moskva-City Business Center of Moscow, ST Towers Chief Shalva Chigirinsky told Interfax-Nedvizhimost.
Construction costs may exceed the specified amount, Chigirinsky forecasted. Under the project elaborated by Foster & Partners Architect Bureau, Rossia Tower will emerge as a triangular building converging upwards, which will ensure the maximum stability for it.

The tower will have no supporting columns. Instead, it will be held up by fan piers installed at sides of each of its three wings. The building’s peculiarities enable to create the multi-storey apartments inside it.

Another distinctive feature is a very big atrium that will cover three underground floors and host stores, gradually descending below the surface from the street level. Hotel apartments, a hotel and offices will have three separate entrances. The trading area will be connected to the central part of Moskva-City by the underground passage.
