Putin to Perform Duties to the Last Sec
Russia’s President Vladimir Putin has vowed to perform duties to the last second of his authority. With presidential elections to be held in Russia roughly in half a year, Putin is currently in the twilight of his tenure.
Ice hockey is one of his favorite sports in Russia, Putin said during the news conference in Abu Dhabi. “We know how the real profs play, to the last second,” the president said, pledging “to work accordingly and do everything so that all ministers, government, administration work exactly in this manner,” Mayak broadcaster reported.
Asked about difficulties of the current tour with visits planned to Kamchatka, Indonesia, Australia and the United Arab Emirates, Putin emphasized that packing such trips is so convenient, as they allow to avoid separate visits to each region and save time.
Speaking about the visit to Indonesia, Putin emphasized that Russia harbors no doubts that the $1-billion loan granted to this state will be repaid. “Indonesia is an absolutely solvent country. We don’t doubt it is the repayable debt,” the president emphasized. The deal with Indonesia, Putin went on, has a few vectors. “The first one is political, strengthening Russia’s standing in the region. The second [vector] is economical, as the money will be spent for Russia’s economy.”
