Police Raided Brazil’s Corinthians for Links to Berezovsky
Brazil’s police raided offices of Corinthians club and seized computers and documents when investigating into the frauds by former team directors, AP reported.
Directors of Britain’s Media Sports Investment (MSI) that is the sponsor of Corinthians are suspected of fraud and conspiracy. Russia’s exiled oligarch Boris Berezovsky is one of the MSI owners and the arrest warrant for him was issued in Brazil.

One of the employees attempted to flee with a computer during the raid. Former president of the famed soccer club Alberto Dualib and a few directors have been summoned for interrogation.

According to prosecutors, the former leadership of Corinthians forged accounting reports for 2000 through 2005 for the total amount of $255,000.
