U.S. Missile Defense System in Europe, Kosovo Are the Red Line for Russia
Russia cannot but respond to the threats to national security, and stationing components of the U.S. missile defense system in Europe and Kosovo are among such issues, said Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov.
”It should be clear that, in all absence of the confrontation of foreign policy of Russia, the so-called red lines exist for us, when a real threat emerges to our national security or to the current international and legal order,” Lavrov told students of Moscow State Institute of Foreign Affairs Monday.

”Amid such issues are, for instance, the plans to station the bases of the U.S. global missile defense system in Eastern Europe, settlement in Kosovo,” Lavrov explained.

Russia cannot but respond in this case, carry its point to the end.

”Russia doesn’t bargain and our international partners should understand it,” Lavrov emphasized.
