Great Wall to Build Carmaker in Russia
China’s car-making blockbuster, Great Wall, stands ready to construct an assembly plant in Russia, PRIME-TASS reported.
China’s Great Wall is ready to build assembly facilities in Russia in the near term, Khabarovsk District’s Deputy PM Alexander Levintal told the reporters in Beijing today. Levintal attended the sitting of sub-commission on trade and economic cooperation of Russia and China.
The official said that, during the meeting, they deliberated on creating assembly facilities of China in Russia. “Russia backs up this direction, and one of the projects will be soon implemented,” Levintal pointed out, specifying that a few companies are interested in the assembly projects in Russia.
But Great Wall has advanced above all, Levintal said. “Russian government is likely to decide on this company in the near term,” the bureaucrat pointed out, emphasizing that the reports that the assembly projects of China’s carmakers are being obstructed don’t correspond to reality.
