Bush Appoints Russian Affairs Advisor
U.S. President George W. Bush has appointed Mary B. Warlick his Russian affairs advisor and National Security Council’s Senior Director for Russia.
U.S. President George W. Bush has appointed Mary Burce Warlick to be Special Assistant to the President and Senior Director for Russia of the National Security Council, according to the web-site of the White House.
Before it, Mary B. Warlick served as Director of the Office of Russian Affairs at the Department of State. A career Senior Foreign Service Officer. She graduated from Valparaiso University (bachelor's degree) and has the master's degree of the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy.
Of interest is that, in time of George H. W. Bush, today’s State Secretary of the United States, Condoleezza Rice had served as the Soviet and East European Affairs Advisor. Her office coincided with dissolution of the Soviet Union and German reunification.
