FSB Toughens Security All Over Russia
The threat of terrorism hasn’t been eliminated yet, FSB Director Nikolay Patrushev emphasized during today’s sitting of Russia’s Counterterror Committee. Patrushev commented on the railway explosion that crashed Neva Express train and ordered to toughen protection of most vital facilities of the country.
”Counterterror commissions of the RF regions should provide for taking comprehensive actions [to ensure] solid counter-subversion protection of potentially hazardous facilities, life-support facilities and places of mass gathering of residents,” Patrushev specified.
Some time earlier, Patrushev had a telephone conversation with President Vladimir Putin, who took the probe into Neva Express crash under his personal control. Putin ordered Patrushev to keep him up to date.
