Tax Amnesty: Russians Legalize 2.113 Billion Rubles
Russian citizens transferred 274.694 million rubles to the country’s budget system by July 1, 2007, within the framework of the tax amnesty, said Russia’s Federal Treasury. Thus, Russians legalized the income of 2.113 billion rubles since the amnesty’s beginning on March 1, 2007.
According to the Russian Federal Treasury, Moscow became the leader in the amount of payments by reclaimed citizens, collecting 151.028 million rubles within the tax amnesty. St. Petersburg is second; citizens there paid 18.128 million rubles.

The Moscow Region collected 11.225 million rubles. The payments in other regions of Russia, which came by July 1st, made up less than 10 million rubles.

Meanwhile, the tax amnesty collected smaller sums as well. The Republic of Khakassia paid 20 rubles, the Republic of Kalmykia—78 rubles, and the Kamchatka Region—100 rubles.
