Sales of Foreign Cars Surged 70 Percent in Russia
The sales of foreign cars in Russia surged 70 percent on year from January to July, Interfax reported with reference to the news release of European Business Association.
Overall, as many as 861,736 foreign cars were sold in Russia in the first seven months of this year vs. just 516,151 sold a year ago. Similar to January-June results, Chevrolet led with the number of 99,197, Ford followed with 97,030 and Toyota was the last of the leading trio (48,782).
When it comes to definite models, European Business Association gave the first place to Ford Focus, which sales grew 70 percent on year to 55,500. Renault Logan sold 36,870 to win the second standing, while the third score went to Chevrolet Lanos with its 31,250.
