Georgia Says Russia Bombed It
Yesterday, two combat jets of Russia violated the air area of Georgia and one of them dropped a 700-kilogram bomb, spokesmen of Georgia’s Interior Ministry announced in the morning. The bomb didn’t explode for some reason.
The incident happened yesterday night close to Tsitelubani village, 65 kilometers northwest of Tbilisi, Reuters reported.

Georgia last lashed out at Russia for the air space violation in March. Mi-24 helicopters equipped with night viewing devices and Su-25 jets were said to have reached the Kodori Gorge from Tkvarcheli town of unrecognized Abkhazia. The state of emergency was declared in Kodori Gorge in the wake of that flight.

According to Interior Ministry of Georgia, the helicopters of Russia’s peacekeepers attacked by fire a few villages in Upper Abkhazia at night to March 12. Russia’s Defense Ministry rebuffed by calling that statement an evident provocation. Later on, the officials speculated that Georgia came up with those accusations to approach NATO for membership.
