Shvidler Figures in Berezovsky Case
Evgeny Shvidler, business partner of Roman Abramovich, figures in investigation of the money theft from SBS Agro Bank.
Evgeny Shvidler, the business partner and close friend of oligarch Roman Abramovich, is said to be a member of the criminal group involved in embezzlement of SBS Agro funds, Gzt.ru reported.

According to investigators, the loan of $13 million that SBS Agro raised in 1997 was then contributed to the authorized capital of some firm headed exactly by Shvidler. That firm funded Berezovsky’s deal to purchase two villas on the Côte d'Azur of France.

Having specified criminal group’s existence, the detectives named two more suspects. The first one is Swiss Hans-Peter Jenni, who also figured in the Aeroflot case as Andava manager. The second is some Berth of France.

Although Shvidler in one of the suspects, Gzt.ru reported, there is no certainty that he has been presented with charges. In Millhouse Capital, they refused to comment on any investigating actions against the chief.

Similar to Berezovsky, Shvidler is today’s resident of London, where he owns a mansion in elite Belgravia. His wealth is estimated at £1.3 billion. Abramovich presented a yacht of $140 million to him in June of 2006.
