Commander of U.S. Naval Forces in Europe Admiral Henry Ulrich will visit Severomorsk July 28 to 30 and take part in the Navy Day celebrations there, PR service of North Fleet reported.
On July 28, Admiral Ulrich will meet with Russia’s North Fleet Commander Admiral Vladimir Vysotsky. The venue of two naval chiefs is Sovetsky Soyuz (the Soviet Union) atomic ice-breaker. Then, the U.S. admiral will visit K-84 Ekaterinburg missile-firing submarine.

Mr Ulrich will attend celebrations of Russia’s Navy Day on July 29. He will also go to North Fleet’s Pyotr Veliky (Peter the Great) command ship.

K-84 Ekaterinburg has been the North Fleet’s part since 1985. It was rebuilt and upgraded in 2005. The submarine has new equipment and operates improved Sineva missiles.
