President, FSB Rule the Country, the Nation Says
President and FSB are the most influential in the country, the Russians made clear via the poll of Levada Center.
Russia’s president and KGB’s top successor FSB gathered 4.22 and 3.65 under the 5-score scale in 16 state-run and public institutions, having climbed to the first and the second places respectively.
Oligarchs, bankers and financiers are the third in the leading trio, the Russians said, giving the fourth score to the media.
The Army follows media, and the government enjoys the sixth position. Of interest is that the prosecutors finally outpaced the courts – 3.28 scores and 3.11 scores respectively.
The influence of Federation Council is greater than of the State Duma, the Russians think for some reason (the 11th and 13th places respectively). The church is only the 12th despite all recent speculations about its higher influence.
Political parties, intellectuals and trade unions tail the rating. The intellectuals have lost their influence, while trade unions have never had it, according to the polled.
