Business Left Air Defense Command With No Communication
A firm has deenergized a communication center of Air Defense Command of Moscow and Central Industrial Region, RIA Novosti reported with reference to Special Forces Commander Col.-Gen. Yury Soloviev.
The communication center was located in the underground floor of a building in the 5th Kotelnichesky St., Moscow. Defense Ministry sold the building to a company, which promises to restore energy supply no sooner than the premises of staff and personnel department are sold to it, Soloviev said. But the federal communication law, the official went on, requires from any company, any individual to use best efforts to maintain communication channels. Businessmen don’t understand they are breaking defense capacity of the country, colonel-general explained.

In addition to the communication center of Air Defense Command, there are roughly 500 communication channels in the building. “We are forced to take on lease these 500 channels and direct them bypassing this evil. Time is needed to adjust and ensure supply for all this system,” Soloviev pointed out.

Defense Ministry has filed suits to the prosecutors, to the court and arbitration. “But time is getting on and we pay money for this time. Defense Ministry suffers losses,” Soloviev said.
