Gas Pipeline Exploded near St. Petersburg
A gas pipeline exploded near Lavriki village close to St. Petersburg. The witnesses first heard loud pops, then saw wildfire rising skyward.
The fire covered over 2 hectares and 25 fire teams needed an hour and a half to bring the blaze under control. The explosion resulted in blackout in the nearby regions, Emergency Ministry’s news service announced.

Although some victims were reported at first, this information hasn’t been confirmed.

Detectives have left for the place of the accident to study all leads, including a terror action. The issue of initiating a criminal case is being decided.
