Accused of Disclosing State Secret Invites Detectives to Strasbourg
Lawyer Boris Kuznetsov, whom Russia has charged with state secret disclose, is ready to answer the questions of investigators. But he will do it anywhere except Russia.
Once added to the wanted list, Kuznetsov told Gazeta edition, he will immediately inform about his whereabouts so that he could be summoned for interrogation. “But I will refuse to show up. If there are any questions, I could be interrogated here, abroad, in Strasbourg, for instance, where I will arrive in six to seven hours,” the lawyer explained.

”If they want to interrogate me in Russia, let them seek my extradition,” Kuznetsov announced, pointing out that there are no chances that he would ever be extradited under political case. Theoretically, Kuznetsov went on, he may seek political asylum should they pressurize him or his family.

According to Kuznetsov, he has compromising files against FSB officials of highest rank, but he won’t use the information till they start acting against him. Meanwhile, the lawyer intends to write a book, which preliminary title appears rather illustrative – “When the Prosecutors Are Crying.” Kuznetsov said the book will describe his cases, the cases of his friends and the actions of their opponents – officers of Interior Ministry, FSB and prosecutors. “I think it will be of interest,” the lawyer concluded.
