All Suspects in Beating the Russian Freed in Estonia
Of 13, the last two suspects in beating Russia’s citizen Dmitry Ganin during the April mass riots in Estonia were released from detention Tuesday, Interfax reported.
Jaanek, 27, and Kaido, 19, were released under the recognizance not to leave, as Estonian prosecutors don’t expect them to commit a new crime or avoid taking part in investigation.

What’s more, all 13 persons detained under the case are suspected of having beaten the Russian not of having killed him, the prosecutors emphasized. Beating and killing are investigated together in hope to track a true murderer.

Dmitry Ganin, 20, was knifed at night to April 27 during the mass riots triggered by transferring the Monument to Soviet Soldiers of the WW2, the so-called Bronze Soldier, from downtown London to outskirts of the city. The first aid was applied to the Russian only an hour and a half after the injury and Dmitry died in the hospital later on.
