Moscow-London Clashes Not to Affect Business, Analysts Hope
The political standoff of Russia and Britain over the extradition of Andrey Lugovoy will hardly affect economic relations of two countries, RIA Novosti reported with reference to interrogated analysts.
“One should distinguish between the bureaucrats, policymakers and business,” said Troika Dialog analyst Valery Nesterov. “I hope that, in this case, the best efforts will be taken and the tense situation won’t affect business ties. After all, it will be of advantage to neither party.”

“The matter at stake is mostly the visa release to bureaucrats. Ordinary people will be hardly affected,” said Aton analyst Artem Konchin, specifying that big foreign companies, such as Shell and BP, need no visas at all.

Even though the effect on investment climate is negative, the companies will hardly break established relations, according to analysts. “So far, the issue is political, not the economic one. But further development of the situation is difficult to forecast and nothing could be crossed out,” Konchin concluded.
