Abramovich, Mourinho Reconciled After Meeting Face-to-Face
Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has publicly announced he has no problems with team’s owner Roman Abramovich.
According to Mourinho, the personal meeting with Russia’s billionaire that happened last week in London helped sort out the problems that had nearly resulted in the crisis past season. “It left everything clear between us,” Mourinho said as quoted by Eurosport. “I know what he thinks… I know what he wants. And he knows me as a person, as a manager and he knows the way I work.”

That decisive get-together of Chelsea manager and owner was the first one in the past six months. Manifesting that the thawing era has begun for the pair, Mourinho expressed readiness to stay with Chelsea even after the expiration of his contract, i.e. after 2010.

“I have no desire to change and try something different in Italy or Spain,” the Portuguese specified. Moreover, Mourinho said he counts of Ukrainian striker Andriy Shevchenko, whose relations with Abramovich accounted for the better part of the problems past year.

The manager also said he wants the team to play attacking football and the purpose of having such players as Robben, Cole, Malouda and Kalou is to give width and speed to the game.
