Georgia-Ossetia’s Clashes to Unleash Caucasian War
Should the conflict of Georgia and Ossetia escalate, not only these states would be drawn into the war, Eduard Kokoity, president of unrecognized Republic of South Ossetia, announced after the meeting with Russia’s Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov.
”If the war is unleashed, the conflict won’t be limited to South Ossetia. It will also involve Abkhazia and all republics of North Caucasus, which won’t stay indifferent,” Kokoity vowed.

According to Kokoity, South Ossetia is in no way interested in unleashing the war in the region. “We bear responsibility not only to nations of Georgia and Ossetia but also to peoples of Caucasus,” Kokoity emphasized.
