Russian Agent of M16 Surrendered to FSB after Berezovsky Calls
FSB has confirmed that some Russian approached it to inform that he had been hooked by Britain’s intelligence, RIA Novosti reported. It was Russia’s exiled tycoon Boris Berezovsky that put the agent on alert. Berezovsky called him several time, he said, offering to meet in Israel and demanding to get in touch with Britain’s intelligence.
According to FSB, the MI6 officers hooked that Russian in London. In FSB, the so-called agent gave names of Britain’s spies, described them in detail, specified the states of Europe and hotels, where he had secret meetings with M16.

The Russian came to FSB on fear for his life. He said Britain’s officers pressurized him for immediate meeting in some city of Europe in the wake of the news conference of Andrey Lugovoy, whose extradition Britain is seeking on charges of poisonous murder of Alexander Litvinenko, former officer of FSB and then the political refugee in Britain.

Lugovoy held his news conference May 31, 2007. During it, the former officer of FSB shed light on attempts of Britain’s intelligence to hook him for gathering black information about Russia’s President Vladimir Putin and the persons close to him. Litvinenko and Berezovsky were the M16 agents, Lugovoy said.
