Russia Sank 7 Spots in FIFA Ranking
Russia sank to the 24th place in the latest FIFA/Coca-Cola World Ranking. Italy remained the FIFA leader, while France advanced to the second place at the expense of Brazil.
Russia had 893 scores in FIFA ranking as of June 13. The Russians recently overwhelmed Andorra in EURO 2008 qualifier (4-0) and had a draw with Croatia (0-0).
France advance to the second spot was the greatest change in the leading trio. For this purpose, France defeated the squads of Ukraine and Georgia on June 2 and 6 respectively and moved Brazil to the third position.
Argentina sank to the fifth place (down 2).
