Russia’s Nikolay Davydenko has jumped to number three in ATP rankings and number four in the champions’ race after good showing at the French Open last week.
The Russian advanced to semi-finals at Roland Garros last weekend, conceding to world number one Roger Federer. Strong play in Paris sent Davydenko five places up in the ATP race. The top three is still the same – Spain’s Rafael, Switzerland’s Roger Federer, and Serbia’s Novak Djokovic.
Another Russian, Mikhail Youzhny has entered the top 10, leaping two ranks up. Igor Andreev showed an even more spectacular jump, 17 ranks up to number 25, after crushing third seed Andy Roddick and getting to quarter finals in Paris.
