Russia, Norway Agree to Ease Visa Procedures
Russia and Norway have sealed today an agreement to ease the visa procedures, ITAR-TASS reported. The document was signed by results of negotiations of prime ministers of two countries.
The agreement facilitates procedures for releasing one-time visas that will extend up to three months as well as for multiple visas given to official delegations, entrepreneurs, drivers, journalists, scientists, figures of culture and education, students and schoolchildren taking part in exchange programs and to athletes, a source with Russia’s government said.
Some persons of the above categories will be able get visas valid for five years, while the holders of diplomatic passports will enjoy visa-free procedures.
Another agreement recently concluded by Russia and Norway relates to readmission. The purpose of this document is to oppose illegal migration and establish the ground for forcing back to the native land the persons, who have violated the laws on entrance and stay of the foreigners.
