Russia Not to Abide Black Sea Fleet Awards of Ukrainian Courts
Russia won’t accept the awards of Ukrainian courts for passing to Ukraine the navigation and hydrographic facilities of Black Sea Fleet, Russia’s Deputy Foreign Minister Grigory Karasin said during the news conference, which he held together with Ukraine’s First Deputy Foreign Minister Vladimir Ogryzko.
”We have agreed that we refer such issues to inter-state level... For us, the main criteria are decisions of inter-government level, as it is determined by the basic agreements,” Karasin said. But the standing of Ogryzko was different despite the reached understanding. “We, at least, have no doubts” that the court awards should be executed, he pointed out.

The situation around navigation facilities of the Black Sea Fleet further aggravated because of Mars-75 Radionavigation System, which is a part of Hydrographic Service of the RF Black Sea Fleet stationed in Ukraine.

On March 5, Mars-75 was visited by the Bailiff Service of Ukraine that arrived to execute the award of the Economic Court of Ukrainian Kherson Region. Under the award, the facilities are to be seized in favor of Ukrainian Transport Ministry.

Officers of the Black Sea Fleet refused to abide, reasoning the issues of navigation and hydrographic service are beyond competence of that court of Ukraine.
