Russia’s Missile Placed U.S. Satellites on Orbit
Launched from Baikonur spaceport Wednesday, Russia’s Soyuz-FG booster successfully placed on orbit four Globalstar telecom satellites of the United States, RIA Novosti reported.
The satellites broke away from Fregat upper-stage rocket in due time, said representative of Roskosmos Space Agency of Russia.

U.S. Globalstar renders telecom communication services; the orbit group of the company consists of 48 operating and four reserve satellites. The sattelites are operating on the orbit of 1,414 meters.

Today’s launch was arranged by StarSem venture of Russia and France founded by Progress Design Bureau (Samara), Roskosmos and two French firms.
