First facilities of Nissan plant in St. Petersburg will be put into operation in late 2009; the annual output will reach 50,000, Nissan Manufacturing Rus Executive Fujio Hosaka said at today’s AutoRussia-2007 conference.
The plans are to begin with one model of Nissan and expand to three or four models, the Nissan official specified. First facilities will be making cars for domestic sales, but the company will consider foreign deliveries in future.
