Georgia Not to Take Revenge on Abkhazia
Georgia won’t revenge on Abkhazia and will never forget tragic events of Georgia’s-Abkhaz military standoff, Georgian President Mikhail Saakashvili vowed when speaking during inauguration of the Patriots’ Camp in Ganmukhuri-village located close to administrative border with the self-proclaimed Republic of Abkhazia.
At the same time, Saakashvili pledged that all refugees from Abkhazia will get their property back. The property in Abkhazia belongs to those, who were forced to abandon it for some time, the president emphasized, adding that illegal deals with property that are currently clinched in Abkhazia will be deemed null and void.

The population of Abkhazia is less than 100,000 today, though it had been roughly 600,000 before the war, Saakashvili said some time earlier, pointing out that not only the ethnic Georgians but also the Creeks, Estonians, Georgian Jews and Ukrainians were forced to flee from Abkhazia. Saakashvili said that it is necessary to return all these people, including the Abkhaz, most of whom were expatriated from there, their rights were abolished and property seized.
