Estonia Blames on Russia Massive Cyber Attacks on Web sites
Estonian Defense Minister Jaak Aaviksoo lambasted Russia’s government for orchestrating massive cyber attacks against the high-tech country’s web sites, which threatens security of Estonia.
"We identified in the initial attacks IP numbers from the Russian governmental offices," Estonian Defense Minister Jaak Aaviksoo said as quoted by The Associated Press. "There is not sufficient evidence of a governmental role but it indicates a possibility.” The sites were attacked from more than a million computers worldwide, the minister specified.

Estonia addressed the NATO experts seeking assistance against hackers. In the NATO, they are deliberating on Estonia’s proposal to view cyber attacks against NATO states as the military aggression.

It is not the first time that Estonian officials lash out at Russia because of the cyber attacks. On May 1, for instance, Estonian Foreign Minister Urmas Paet claimed Russia was attacking Estonia virtually, psychologically and really.

The cyber attacks against the Web sites of that Baltic state began once Tallinn announced the decision to move Monument to Red Army’s Soldier (the Bronze Soldier) along with the remains of Soviet soldiers buried nearby from downtown Tallinn to the military cemetery outside the city.
