Russia to Withdraw from CFE Treaty
Russia should withdrew from the Treaty on Conventional Armed Forces in Europe (CFE Treaty), Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) General Secretary Nikolay Bordyuzha said.
”Either we should adequately approach the situation and withdraw from this treaty or the states that signed it should execute it in full. But first of all, they should ratify it, as Russia has done,” Bordyuzha specified.

Russia has been executing the CFE Treaty since the date of its signing, even in time of the Caucasus conflicts, the official said.

Bordyuzha said he is personally concerned about the U.S. plans to station an anti-missile shield in Eastern Europe. “The anti-missile components are the complex of one big work related to establishing a well-branched military infrastructure around Russia, Belarus and other member-states of CSTO. And this military infrastructure is bound to come into action, as such big money is invested in it.”
