Hollywood to Make a Film about Murdered Journalist of Russia
H2O Motion Pictures has acquired the feature film rights to three books of Anna Politkovskaya and is willing to develop a full-length movie about her.
The deal relates to three books by Anna Politkovskaya, A Russian Diary, Putin’s Russia and A Severed Head. The first two have been published already, while A Severed Head is an unpublished manuscript about Politkovskaya’s tours to Chechnya, the Variety reported. The dates of the project haven’t been determined.

H2O Motion Pictures is an independent production and distribution company with offices in Amsterdam, London and Los Angeles. It participates in funding and promoting from eight to 12 full-length films a year.

Investigating journalist Anna Politkovskaya was shot to death October 7, 2006 in the entrance to an apartment house in Lesnaya St., Moscow, where she lived. The crime hasn’t been cleared so far.
