1/3 of Russians Don’t Hope for Fair Elections to State Duma
Roughly a third of the Russians won’t think legal the State Duma of 2007 elections, signaled the poll of Levada Center.
Most of respondents don’t doubt the result of December elections to the State Duma will be falsified, and 39 percent expect members of election committees to manipulate the results.
Authorities will be buying over electors, according to a third of respondents, though eight percent of the Russians still believe in fair elections to the country's parliament.
And last but not least, the overwhelming majority advocates reviving “against all” option for voting. The bill to exclude this line from the ballot was passed in summer of 2006. The “against all” sympathizers attempted to challenge the bill in courts, to no avail though.
