Ramzan Kadyrov Made Honorary Mayor of Grozny
President of the Chechen Republic Ramzan Kadyrov has been named honorary mayor of Grozny. That announcement was made by head of the Grozny city administration Muslim Khuchiev during May Day festivities there.
“Ramzan Akhmatovich, I know that sometime you dreamed of being mayor of Grozny. Your contribution to the renaissance of Grozny is so great that the administration of Grozny has passed a special resolution awarding you the title of Honorary Mayor of Grozny,” the city leader said.
May Day is a holiday in Chechnya. After the traditional May Day march, a meeting was held in Grozny to award titles to those who made significant contributions to the reconstruction of the republic.
