Russia Trounces Ukraine on the Ice
Russia has defeated the Ukrainian national hockey team with a score of 8:1. The first-chain players made six goals, with Alexey Morozov performing a hat trick. Alexander Frolov and Alexander Radulov also hit one each. It was Radulov's first goal on the team.
With that victory, Russia became first in Group D. Russia has six points out of a possible six after two matches. The team has thus earned a place in the final round for the championship.

The first period in the match ended with a score of 2:1, with Ukraine scoring first. Sergey Klimentyev distinguished himself by making three goals in the second and two more in the third. After the seventh goal, Ukrainian goalkeeper Alexander Federov was replaced by Vadim Selivestrov.
