Mstislav Rostropovich Died In Moscow Hospital
Seen by many as the world's greatest cellist, Mstislav Rostropovich, 80, died in the Moscow hospital April 27, 2007, ITAR-TASS reported referring to a source close to Rostropovich.
“Rostropovich died after long illness in a Moscow hospital,” the source said.

Weak and weary, the great cellist made the last public appearance at his 80th birthday on March 27. He sat in black tie and dinner jacket next to Putin and Azeri President Ilham Aliev at a gala dinner given in his honor at the Kremlin.
