Kasparov Summoned to FSB
Former chess champion and leader of United Civil Front, Garry Kasparov was served Tuesday with two summons from FSB investigators of Moscow and Moscow Region, Kasparov’s United Civil Front reported.
Both visits to FSB are slated for April 19, said Marina Litvinovich, briefer of Garry Kasparov. Russia’s Federal Security Service, FSB, is the successor to KGB intelligence service.

The first summon relates to April 8 interview of Kasparov given to Echo Moskvy. The subject matter, the summon makes clear, is public calls for extremism. The second summon roots in checking for extremism a special issue of The United Civil Front newspaper.

Kasparov was served with the summons after he was arrested and fined for public order offences at the Dissenters’ Marches held against President Putin past weekend. The former champ has been released from detention.

Kasparov won’t neglect FSB questioning, Litvinovich said, he will go to give explanation.

Leader of unregistered National Bolshevik Party Eduard Limonov received FSB summon same Tuesday. Similar to Kasparov, Limonov gave interview to Echo Moskvy.

On April 13, St. Petersburg prosecutors warned Kasparov about possible termination of United Civil Front activities for involvement in the Dissenters’ Marches staged in St. Petersburg March 3.
