No Russians Injured in Algerian Blast
No Russian citizens were injured in the series of terrorist acts that rocked Algiers on April 11, according to the Russian Foreign Ministry. Two car bombs exploded in the Algerian capital. The first explosion took place in the center of the city in front of the a government building. The second explosion occurred in front of the police station near the airport.
At least 23 people were killed in the blasts and more than 100 were injured. A local Al Qaeda cell claimed responsibility for the acts.

The Russian Foreign Ministry condemned the terrorist acts and expressed its condolences to the relatives and friends of the deceased. “The events bear witness once again to the danger that international terrorism poses to all countries of the world and how timely is the task of uniting the forces of the entire world community to fight that evil,” a Foreign Ministry statement reads.
