White House Proclaims Itself Savior of U.S. Economy
The economic surge that began during President George Bush’s tenure was more robust that in time of President Bill Clinton, The Examiner reported referring to White House spokesman Tony Fratto.
"This is a much stronger expansion in a lot of ways," Tony Fratto announced as quoted by The Examiner. "It's much deeper and more measured."
According to Fratto, the evidence is jobs report that specified the unemployment decline to 4.4 percent, which is the best indicator in the past few years.
But in the environment of presidential candidate Hilary Rodham Clinton, they are very critical. "That's a rather absurd claim," said Gene Sperling, who is an economic adviser to Hilary Clinton. "In terms of job creation, in terms of wage growth, in terms of business investment, in terms of poverty, there's absolutely no comparison."
The analysts say neither Bush nor Clinton have carried out the reforms that could be compared in extent to reforms of former President Reagan.
