One-Fourth of Russians Think They Live in EU
24 percent of Russians think that they live in the European Union, according to a recent opinion poll. 28 percent found it difficult to answer this question while 48 percent know that Russia is not an EU member.
36 percent of the respondents believe that Russia should seek an EU membership while 26 percent are against it, says a survey by the Obshchestvennoe Mnenie polling agency.
35 percent feel positive about news on EU enlargement while 15 percent disapprove of this process. 50 percent say they do not have a clear opinion on the matter.

A slim majority of Russians (42 percent) believe that the integration will never merge all European countries into one while 13 percent deem it possible.
The poll surveyed 1,500 people in 44 Russian regions late March.
