5 Trains, 66 Coaches Take Yanukovich’s Supporters to Kyiv
Almost 6,000 people arrived in Kyiv late Wednesday night to protest the dissolution of the parliament. 2,100 went in 66 coaches from all across the country, the UNIAN news agency reported Thursday.
5 trains with 3,750 demonstrators arrived in Kyiv Thursday night. Most of them are from Eastern Ukraine.
Participants of protest rallies have already pitched 506 tents across Kyiv. The largest number of tents can be found in Mariinsky Park and City Garden. The number of police forces overseeing order in the Ukrainian capital is 6,000 people, the same as it was last weekend.
Kyiv saw first major protest rallies of Prime Minister Viktor Yanukovich’s supporters Monday night after Ukrainian President Viktor Yushchenko signed a decree to dissolve the parliament and call a new election.
