Georgia Laments Ukrainian Crisis
Speaker of the Georgian Parliament Nino Burdzhandze has expressed regret over the parliamentary crisis in Ukraine and break-up of Orange forces, the Ekho Moskvy reported late Wednesday.
Ms. Burdzhandze made the statement at a joint news conference with a delegation of U.S. Senators. The chairperson of the Georgian parliament said she hopes “the parties will retain respect to democratic values”.

Elsewhere, President Lech Kaczynski and his Estonian counterpart Tomas Hendrik Ilves also commented on the Ukrainian crisis, declaring their unfailing support for Kyiv’s pro-Western policies.

Meanwhile, a top official from the Ukrainian opposition Party of Regions reported Wednesday night that President Viktor Yushchenko plans to declare state of emergency and president’s rule. In this case, a new election cannot be fair and democratic by any means, according to the deputy.
