All Decrees of Ukrainian Parliament Legitimate – Rada Speaker
All decisions of the Ukrainian parliament have legal force, the speaker of the Rada said Wednesday, contending President Viktor Yushchenko’s recent dissolution decree, the RBC Ukraine news agency reports.
Resolutions of the Supreme Rada are binding for all officials in Ukraine, the parliament’s speaker told RBC Ukraine.

The Ukrainian president insists that all decisions of the parliament are null after he signed a decree to dissolve the assembly.

A court in Kyiv, meanwhile, invalidated the parliament’s resolutions disbanding the Central Election Commission and appointing new members which was passed on April 2. The verdict says the Rada has no right to adopt the resolution as it had been already dissolved by a presidential decree on April 2.

Opposition leader Yulia Timoshenko lambasted Alexander Moroz, saying it was illegal to hold sessions of the parliament after the president published the dissolution degree.
