Russia Mourns for Victims
Under the order of President Vladimir Putin, March 21 is the Day of Mourning for victims of explosion at Ulyanovskaya mine, Kemerovo Region, air crash in Samara and fire at the home for aged in Krasnodar Territory.
The state flags of Russia are at half-mast today; TV companies and cultural institutions were told to shelve entertaining actions and programs.

Tu-134 airliner of UTair crashed when landing at Kurumoch airport of Samara in the morning of March 17. There were 57 on board of the plane; the crash killed six of them and wounded more than 20.

Methane exploded at Kuznetsk Basin’s Ulyanovskaya mine at around 11 a.m., March 19, when 203 people were under the ground. The latest death toll sets forth 105 names, while 93 were rescued and the hunt for others continues. But water is filling the mine, so the divers will be probably attracted to help.

The home for aged of Kamyshevatskaya village caught fire at around 1:00 a.m., March 20. The nearest fire station is located 50km from the village, and the rescuers arrived in an hour after the alarm. As a result of delay, 62 didn’t survive the fire and 33 were injured.
