Thirteen Percent of Russians Paid Under the Table
Official salaries are paid to two thirds (68 percent) of the currently-employed Russians, showed the poll of All-Russian Public Opinion Center. But 13 percent of respondents acknowledged they get mixed salaries formed by official and under-the-table components, 4 percent said their salaries are shadowy in part and in whole, while 15 percent found it too difficult to answer.
Official salaries are paid to between 70 percent and 72 percent of people with higher, incomplete higher or specialized secondary education. But the share lowers to from 61 percent to 62 percent for respondents with secondary or below the secondary education.

In Moscow and St. Petersburg, less than a half of residents (47 percent) get official salaries, while their number steps up to from 61 percent to 73 percent in other cities of Russia.

The poll of All-Russian Public Opinion Center covered 1,587 people in 153 settlements of 46 regions and republics of the country. The statistic error doesn’t exceed 3.4 percent.
