Aeroflot to Seal Contract for 22 A350s
Russia’s Aeroflot will soon seal a firm contract for deliveries of 22 A350 airliners, Interfax reported citing Aeroflot General Director Valery Okulov.
It will be the combined contract, Okulov said. In addition to A350s, it will set forth from ten to 15 A330s. The airliners will be leased for 12 years. “We will take the first three or four A350s on operating lease to be on the safe side, as the product is new. The remainder will be taken on financial [lease],” Okulov specified.

The A330 deliveries are slated to begin in the fourth quarter of 2008, and A350s will be supplied starting from 2015, Okulov said. A330s will be taken on operating lease and withdrawn from the aircraft park as A350 airliners become available.
