Iran Stopped Bushehr Funding Mid-January, Kirienko Said
The delayed funding of Bushehr project by Iran has astonished Sergey Kirienko, chief of Russia’s Atomic Energy Agency, Rosatom, Interfax reported Wednesday.
”I’m amazed. Perhaps, the Iranian authorities haven’t been informed to the full extent, but it looks like the Iranian party has lost interest in this construction. Not a kopeck has been paid since mid.-January,” Kirienko told reporters in Bari, Italy.

”The issue of funding should be solved, as we agreed in February in Tehran and in time of other negotiations – financing construction and delivering equipment from third countries.”

”Neither has been done,” Kirienko emphasized, pointing out, however, that Russia “goes on with the work.”
